Mark
learned his filmmaking skills as a first assistant
cameraman, working for some of the biggest
commercial directors in the world. Since 1985, he
has made a career as a cinematographer (and often
director) in his own right, on commercials,
corporate films and independent features.
His commercial and corporate clients include Cisco
Systems, The Gap, El Dorado Hotel and Casino, Mercy
Health Systems and Hewlett-Packard.
His first short film as director, “Scherzo”,
screened in over twenty festivals worldwide, notably
at Clermont-Ferrand, where it attracted the interest
of Canal+ and was subsequently invited to
participate in “Une Nouvele Veine Du Cineastes (The
New Filmmakers”, a select showcase in Paris, in
1999.
His short film “et cetera” won best cinematography
(short film) at the 2001 New York International
Independent Film Festival and Robert Ovetz, director
of the Den Haag Film Festival called it, “A much
more real, honest account of the life of an addict
than ‘Requem For A Dream’.
His most recent short film, “Lunch”, was in
international competition this year at Clermont-Ferrand
and was called “Lynchian” by La Montagne. |
